This is why we stress the importance of regular oral hygiene examination visits in our office for you and your family. Even if you clean your teeth perfectly and are passionate about your oral hygiene, routine visits are still necessary. During these appointments, we not only thoroughly clean the teeth and remove any lingering plaque and bacteria, but we also inspect for any signs of decay, gum disease, and oral cancer.

Be Proactive With Your Oral Health

We don’t want our patients to wait and visit our office when they are experiencing pain or discomfort. Dental discomfort is a common sign that you have a problem with your oral health and will be in need of treatment. Regular oral hygiene examinations allow us to spot any problem areas in your mouth and recommend treatment when necessary. When cleanings are avoided, dental problems will continue to progress until you are in pain or experience another form of dental emergency. We recommend many of our patients visit our office every six months for a hygiene examination and cleaning; however, some patients may require more frequent cleanings due to certain oral health conditions.

Dental Care in Children is a Must

Regular dental care for children is also a must. Children should visit the dentist for a routine hygiene examination every six months. Unfortunately, children do not always clean their teeth properly and are prone to experiencing dental decay. Not only will we look for signs of decay, but we will also inspect the baby teeth and be sure there is room for the adult teeth to move into place.
